The city of Cosquín in Cordoba is located in the department of Punilla. To the north is bordered by Casa Grande, east with the cord of the Sierras Chicas, the West with San Jose and the Pampa de Olaen and south to Santa Maria de Punilla.
Cosquín is well known for its music festivals wearing the summer of each year. These are the National Folklore Festival and the Cosquín Rock. These two festivals crowded together many spectators from all parts of Argentina who are called to celebrate and have a great time.
The dates for the Festival this year Cosquin are:
-Festival of Cosquín (Folklore): 20 to 29 January on stage Atahualpa Yupanqui.
Rock-Cosquín 2012: from 10 to 12 February at the Santa Maria airfield Punilla.
Cosquín The first was held in 1961. It showed up the most important artists of the moment. Was so successful that we decided to perform in the following years.
In 2012 will be conducting the edition number 52 and will be held in the square Prospero Molina.
The festival also features the presence of the “Fair of Craft and Folk Art” which gathers the country’s leading artisans.
