The Cañitas is one of the most popular gastronomic neighbourhood to find restaurants and bars in Buenos Aires. The Cañitas bustles with nightlife and is the meeting place for people of all ages. The name “The Cañitas” comes from the fact that the current boundaries of the fifth district was called “The Cañitas”, it was located between the current Avenida Luis Maria Campos and Libertador Avenue. The Cañitas are among the Avenida Luis Maria Campos, B. Matienzo street, Avenida del Libertador and Avenida Dorrego. This neighborhood is bordered by “La Imprenta” which extends from the street B. Matienzo. In recent years, Las Cañitas was experiencing a major construction boom due to the growth of the country since and the area purchasing power. During the day, the neighborhood is characterized by being very quie. Its streets are narrow, wooded and is next to the Palermo Polo Club. At night the neighborhood becomes crowded due to the amount of bars, restaurants and nightclubs that have been built in recent years. Some of the places to recommend are:

• Beat House (Baez 211): The proposed site stands out as a bar / record store where you can hear good music while sipping a drink or enjoying a dish. The setting is kind home in his living room has tables shallower and some beanbags. 
•  Van Koning (Baez 325): Bar recommended for lovers of good beer. It is a different choice in the neighborhood of Las Cañitas since entering as being  inside of a tavern in seventeenth century Holland. Upon entering, the atmosphere of Van Koning who visits contact with the traditions of culture in Holland. The menu offers over 100 varieties of beer and some delicious bites to enjoy.
•  The Cholas (Arce 306): It’s a very casual place ideal to go with friends. It specializes in barbecue and local food very well prepared. You should go prepared to be in a noisy and crowded place, as it is a restaurant where you eat very well and the prices are low. A good option in Las Cañitas.
• Morelia (Baez 260): Restaurant recommended to eat a rich grilled pizza. The pastas are not far behind. The atmosphere is very intimate and warm.
