This winter holidays 2011 will be filled with activities and things to do with kids, in order they can have fun and learn while playing. These activities can be outdoors or indoors, near or far, but all of them promise to be entertaining. For this reason, this winter holidays in Buenos Aires will surely be busy and amusing.

Firtly, we will mention all the free or low cost activities. There are several shoppings and places, such as “Galerias Pacifico”, where the kids are invited to play in their games and do some of the activities they offer, in a specially desgined playground for them. The oldest kids can also play with the play station.

Moreover, the marry-go-rounds around the city open every day so they kids can spend a nice afternoon there. Moreover, in its surroundings, there will be activities, shows and lost of fun.

Those who are interested in riding the historical tramway of the city can do it for free, on the following days: Saturdays and on bank holidays from 4 pm until 7.30 pm; And, on Sundays from 10 am until 1pm, and from 4 pm until 7.30 pm. (check the schedule before you go). The tramway has only one stop in Emilio Mitre 500 (and Jose Bonifacio), and it will take you for a short trip around some streets. Tramways leave every 20 minutes.

During the winter holidays, both the grown and the young can visit one of the many museums of the city, such as: the “Museo de ciencias naturales” [Museum of Natural Science]: it offers guided tours, and many activities for kids; the “Museo Nacional de Bella Artes” [Museum of Arts]; among others. Besides museums, you are all invited to visit the “Planetario Galileo Galilei” [planetarium], which offers a permanent exhibition and activities for both, kids and adults. Moreover, during the winter holidays, kids can go to the “Parque Centenario” and visit the “Asociacion Argentina Amigos de la Astronomía” [Astronomy institute], where they can learn and make telescopic observations.

Moreover, if days are sunny and the temperature is not too low, you can visit the “Jardín Japonés” [Japanese Garden], and learn about its culture, and do some of the many activities that the garden offers.

During this winter holidays 2011, you may also take the kids to some “pelotero” [games for kids], bowling, ice skating, amusement parks, the karting track, the movies, or the theater, among others.

The options are plenty and varied. The city of Buenos Aires and its surroundings offer all types of activities and games in order the kids can have an incredible vacation. This winter holidays, neither the kids nor the adults will want to stay at home…
